Feeling that the philosophy around Karate as we understand it comes in conflict with the philosophy of "super-market Κarate" which of course does not represent us, we decided to hold a conference between the 3 dojos, the Bushidokan dojo, the Budokan dojo and the Ronin dojo. There with the participation of over 100 people (19 black belts and 85 color belts from 9 KYU to 1 KYU) we reached 3 important decisions which we will be implementing from now on.

1. The creation of a non-profit association of Karate abiding to the laws of the Greek state and named "J.K.S Greece Shotokan Association". In the founding declaration of rights of our ideals, which will govern this association, our main focus will be the human nature. Because as we all know, the philosophy of Karate can lead the human nature beyond the material substance of things and its limited way of thinking. It is our strongest belief that the philosophy which we follow in the J.K.S leads to freedom of thought which in turn leads to creativity. For this reason we have always believed that as members of the J.K.S we do not teach Karate but create it. This is also the reason why we, the people who will form the "J.K.S Greece Shotokan Association", are not afraid that our Karate can be ´stolen´ since the Karate is constantly recreated and evolving. The goal of this association will be to attract people in Greece who will promote into true Karateka, capable of developing the human ideals and evolving the human thought to the highest possible degree.
2. This association will follow the path set by the J.K.S of Japan. We accept only the philosophy of Shuseki Shihan Tetsuhiko Asai, Shuseki Shihan Kagawa Masao, Shihan Yutaka Katsumata and that of the other qualified instructors of the J.K.S and only them. We emphasize this point in order to avoid any possible future misunderstandings or comparisons.
3. Within this association we will create a section for the people with disabilities. On this matter we are fortunate to have the aid of Ms. Antonoglou Maria, who is an occupational therapist. We hope that with her help we can implement our plans and give to these people the same opportunities and goods which were given to us.

In conclusion alongside the above decisions, the first board was elected.
